Sharp wins eight BLI awards

Sharp to receive seven ‘Pick’ Awards plus an Outstanding Achievement Award

Sharp has today been announced as the winner of eight awards from Buyers Laboratory LLC (BLI), the world’s leading authority on document imaging hardware, software and services, including six prestigious ‘Pick’ Awards for its newly refreshed A3 colour MFP series.

Sharp’s MX-3050N, MX-3550N, MX-5050N and MX-6050N were awarded the BLI Picks for Outstanding Entry-level A3 Colour MFP in 21 to 30ppm, 31 to 40ppm, 41 to 50ppm and 51 to 60ppm speed ranges respectively. The MX-3070N was recognised as an Outstanding 21 to 30ppm A3 Colour MFP, and the highest specification model in the range, the MX-6070N, was also awarded Outstanding 51 to 60ppm A3 Colour MFP.

In addition, Sharp has been recognised with an Outstanding Achievement in Innovation Award for the MX series’ service and IT admin webpage. - Sharp’s newly designed web utility is extremely easy to use and includes a number of capabilities not yet seen on the web utilities of competing vendors. - said BLI Senior Editor George Mikolay.  

Sharp’s Cloud Portal Office platform has been honoured as an Outstanding Content and Collaboration Service.

Presented annually, the individual Pick awards recognise the hardware products that are best in class based on the results of BLI’s rigorous two-month laboratory evaluation, and it is rare for one company to receive so many individual product Awards as well as an Oustanding Acheivement Award.

MX Series
The newly-refreshed MX series includes thirteen MFP devices from 30 to 60ppm, offering flexible workflows and easy-to-use functions common to the whole range. The MX-3050N, MX-3550N, MX-5050N and MX-6050N Essential MFPs from this range received Picks. All models feature a simplified user interface that is accessed via an easy to use 10.1" LCD touchscreen and an out-of-the-box pull printing solution. The 50ppm and 60ppm models include the ability to replace toner and paper without stopping a print job, helping to maintain high levels of productivity in the office.

The models are adaptable and can be upgraded as and when a business demands. The diverse range of optional features include advanced finishing solutions, Office Direct Print and Sharp’s Open System Architecture.

The MX-3070N and MX-6070N Advanced models combine value-added features such as WiFi and advanced cloud connectivity to offer the flexibility of printing from personal devices on the go, with a sophisticated solutions platform. A motion sensor also allows for quicker wake-up times. At 60ppm, the MX-6070N has the ability to handle higher volume print, copy and scan jobs quickly and efficiently.

Cloud Portal Office (CPO) is Sharp’s cloud storage, collaboration and simple workflow service. Provided as a cloud-based Software as a Service, Cloud Portal Office let’s you access, upload, download, share, manage and print files from any PC, mobile device, Sharp multifunctional printer (MFP) or Sharp BIG PAD interactive whiteboard.
