Sharp adds new entry level MFP to its A3 range

Warsaw, 12-07-2018
Sharp has announced an addition to its A3 black and white line-up, with a 26ppm entry-level MFP. The MX-M2630 is a high-spec device with external finishing capabilities which also offers Sharp’s unique multi-layered security features. Sharp’s security settings help companies to protect their data while it is stored, scanned and printed, to meet with GDPR compliance.

The MX-M2630 comes with a wide range of intuitive and time-saving features as standard including a customisable user interface, accessed via a tiltable 7” LCD touchscreen. The user interface is the same as on all other Sharp MFPs, so users already familiar with Sharp devices will be ready to scan and print straight away.

The MFP includes a pull printing solution, which stores print jobs for authentication. Users can print securely from any networked MFP at a time and place that suits them, rather than waiting for an occupied MFP to become available. This means that documents are only printed when the user is at the device, preventing sensitive documents being left unattended in the printer tray.

Optional features for the MX-M2630 include easy integration with mobile and cloud applications. Cloud connectivity gives easy access via the MFP to popular applications including Microsoft OneDrive® for Business, SharePoint® Online, Box and Google Drive™ via Sharp’s available Cloud Connect features.

Users can easily share scanned documents with colleagues via Gmail™ and Microsoft Exchange™ accounts directly from the MFP, meaning information can be securely shared and accessed anywhere, anytime. Sharp is also offering businesses the added flexibility of a diverse range of optional features, including Office Direct Print and OCR function for scanning, to enable the simple digitisation of documents into editable, searchable files.

Rachel Dean, Product Business Manager, said, “Ways of working are changing and there is more emphasis on remote working, remote sharing and BYOD, which increases productivity, but also security vulnerabilities. Our MX range supports this shift in working, from paper to digital, allowing businesses to increase efficiencies without compromising on security.”

The MX-M2630 strengthens Sharp’s MX mono offering, which now consists of 11 models built around the needs of SMB workgroup environments. The easy-to-use functions common across the whole A3 mono range means Sharp now provides office workers, business owners, and IT managers with the same improved experience from 26ppm to 60ppm.

The MX-M2630 is available now through Sharp and its partners.
